 | Fica FC was created unformally during the second half of
year 2004. Our own senior team players were the founders and it was
known as "Fica". We used to play football in the school (Most of the players are
Royalists) during weekends. Fica showed a rapid growth in its path,
achieving more and more members every month.

As the club developed, it spreaded its wings not only over Colombo, but also the suburban areas and other provinces. We started to recruit members from outside of Royal College.
Apart from the practices and exhibition matches, we started to play professional matches with several other leading youth football teams in Colombo, as well as expert footballers of Old Royalists' Football Club. |  |
After 2007, some of our key members had to migrate to Europe and Far-East in pursue of their studies and professional career. Although they are living in a separate country, we value the support they are still giving us to develop the club.
In 2008, the club was officially renamed as "Fica Football Club" with the sole acceptance of the team members.
In Fica FC, we value the team & game spirit more than victory. We are like a family, in which we all have equal responsibilities as well as equal leaderships. We believe that rather than the talents of our players, spirit and unity are the trumps in all our victories.
